The revolutionary 10 year ‘Hallam Alliance’ brings together construction, design consultancy and facilities management services as partners, to deliver SHU’s campus masterplan in the heart of the city centre.
To produce more effective and efficient projects the alliance approach encourages a shared ethos of partnership, collaboration and innovation which creates apprenticeships, work placements, and opportunities for students whilst delivering world class facilities.
Over the next five years Construction Partners BAM will deliver a £220m state-of-the art, sustainable campus featuring new buildings and green spaces between Sheffield Station and Arundel Gate including new teaching facilities and staff workplaces for the Sheffield Business School and the Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities.
“This is a bold new partnership approach which moves away from the single project mentality traditionally seen in the industry and will significantly improve how we operate.
As well as delivering outstanding new buildings and spaces to learn and work in, the Hallam Alliance will work together to create new opportunities for students, local people and business.
We take our civic role at the heart of the region extremely seriously. Therefore, ensuring we deliver maximum benefit from this flagship development is a priority. When complete it will be a major asset for Sheffield and the wider region, helping to attract new talent and investment to our area.”
Daniel Ladbury, SHU Director of Estates
“From Bid Strategy to Red Reviews and Win Themes to Collaborative Workshops with SHU Design Consultants, Perspectives where part of the BAM team each step of the way, we couldn’t have done it without them.”
