£200m Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD) for The University of Manchester

The Manchester Engineering Campus Development (MECD) will be one of the single, largest construction projects undertaken by any higher education institution in the UK with the 81,000 m2 campus bringing together five Engineering Schools under one roof. The central MEC Hall includes state-of-the-art student spaces, teaching environments, lecture halls, laser labs, dry labs, chemical labs, biological labs, characterisation labs, workshops, cleanrooms, meeting rooms, conference, food and beverage, equipment/material storage and associated public realm.
